Dutch tiles have been made out of clay for many years! Heavily
influenced by the tiles made in the middle-east, dutch tiles are
still very ornamental, the blue and white colour code is something,
that the distinguishes the dutch tiles from all others. But why blue?
Round about 1600 the first Chinese porcelain made its way to the
Netherlands where the Dutch started to see a opportunity in matching
their tiles to the Chinese porcelain, which was very much in demand
in the whole of Europe. The shade of blue is called ‘Delft blue’ and
known all over the world!

The Dutch Tiles Splashback is looking fantastic, the complex pattern
that – on closer inspection – is connected to each other, reminds
us of the origin of patterned tiles – the orient. It is a simply,
but stunning splashback for behind the stove, the sink or just as a
decoration above the worktop! While it is ideal for any kitchen
style, it probably works best in a country style kitchen.

Our glass kitchen splashbacks are made of high quality4mm thick ESG safety glass.

Important:

We always recommend using the steel wall clamps. Glue is not advised, when using glue Wall-Art cannot be held accountable for any damages.

Be sure to keep a distance of 10 cm between a gas cooker and the splashback. When you do not have this distance available we advise the alu-dibond splashbacks which are extremely heat resistant.

Cleaning:

Any universal glass cleaner can be used to clean the splash back. Please avoid any substances that could scratch the glass i.e: scouring powders, metal sponges etc.
